What do you do when a virus hits?
I don’t need to tell you this, but you’re probably aware of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) that has been sweeping the globe. It has changed things for so many people, so many families, and so many nations across the globe.
It certainly hasn’t left La Grande Bande untouched. La Grande Bande has had to cancel its upcoming Concert IV: Bach’s Circle in light of the precautions and recommendations given by the Governor and the Federal Government.
Concert and event cancellations are now a daily occurrence as the pandemic silently spreads to every corner of the country.
When will it end? It’s hard to say, but we hope it will end as soon as possible.
What I can tell you—in this much delayed blog post—is that it’s most certainly turned my plans for LGB and for my own studies on their heads.
I will try my very best to create a wonderful, well-crafted post in a few weeks to make up for my lack of posts in March.
What I can tell you is that we’re taking advantage of the downtime to craft a new website for LGB from scratch. This site will allow everyone—including Sustainers—to create accounts and have access to specific, tiered content using your own specific username and password. It (should) will also make managing your contributions much, much easier.
I’ll keep working on the new website! And, thank you for your continued, sustaining support of LGB even through the cancellations of events.
