Lena Console, Natural Trumpet

Lena Console is a baroque trumpet performer and Assistant Professor of Music Theory at Baldwin Wallace University, just outside Cleveland, Ohio. She regularly performs in period ensembles throughout the Midwest, Pacific Northwest, and Canada, including Bach Society of Minnesota, Callipygian Players, Bella Voce Sinfonia, Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra, Bourbon Baroque, Seattle Baroque Orchestra, Portland Baroque Orchestra, and Early Music Vancouver. Lena holds degrees in music performance and music theory from Indiana University, and is currently finishing her PhD in Music Theory and Cognition at Northwestern University where her dissertation investigates experiences of irregular meters in popular music.
