La Grande Bande Receives Minnesota State Arts Board Grant

April 19, 2021 • GAYLORD, MN — La Grande Bande is pleased to announce that it has received a $15,000 grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. The funds will be used to help support its upcoming 2021-2022 Season which will be announced in a few weeks.

“We are thrilled to have received this financial support,” said La Grande Bande’s Music & Artistic Director Michael Thomas Asmus. “2020 has been a difficult year for us, as it has been for everyone. We’re looking forward to returning to in person performances and continuing our work within the community.”

The 2021-2022 Season will include four concert performances, two outreach concerts at local assisted living facilities, three opportunities for masterclasses, and three pre-concert talks.

“It’s been difficult not being with people,” Asmus said. “Our programming is so dependent upon being with people. We can’t wait to be back in the classroom with students, having a blast with assisted living residents, and chatting with everyone after our performances.”

The complete 2021-2022 Season will be announced on or before June 1, 2021. Tickets will be available for purchase on June 15, 2021.
